A. P. Memorial Law College, Gaya

In the historic city of Gaya—where spiritual and cultural heritage runs deep—a new chapter in legal education began with the founding of Anish Pankaj Memorial Law College, a tribute born from love, loss, and the enduring hope for justice and service. The story behind the college's establishment is as profound as its mission. Late Anish Pankaj Mishra, a young man of remarkable intellect, compassion, and principle, had long dreamed of pursuing a career in law. He was teacher’s representative and assistant Professor at Nawada Vidhi Mahavidyalaya, Nawada. He believed that justice should not only be a concept reserved for the privileged, but a right accessible to every individual—regardless of their social or economic background. His passion for truth, fairness, and advocacy inspired everyone around him. But fate had other plans. Anish’s life was cut tragically short, leaving behind not only a grieving family but also a vision unfulfilled. His untimely passing created a void, but it also sparked a determination in those who loved him most to keep his dreams alive. At the heart of this movement was his mother, Smt. Kala Devi—a woman of extraordinary strength, humility, and resolve. Where others saw sorrow, she saw purpose. With quiet dignity and fierce love for her son, she became the cornerstone of
a mission that would transform grief into opportunity for generations to come. Drawing on her personal savings, ancestral land, and with the support of local educators and philanthropists, Kala Devi & his wife Meena devi became a donor member. Her goal was not merely to honor her son, but to ensure that students like Anish—those who are passionate, ethical, and committed to justice—would have a place to nurture their potential. The Anish Pankaj Mishra Memorial Law College is more than a campus—it is a symbol of hope. Offering integrated and graduate law programs, the college emphasizes values-based education, legal ethics, and public service. Today, as students walk through the college gates, they are reminded of a young man whose dream lives on through their pursuit of justice— and of a mother whose love carved a path where none existed.
