The Legal Clinic Committee is an important academic and service-oriented body in a law college, aimed at bridging the gap between legal theory and practical application. It plays a dual role enhancing students’ legal skills through real-life exposure and extending basic legal assistance to marginalized sections of society. Rooted in the concept of “learning by doing,” the Legal Clinic Committee provides law students with an opportunity to engage in meaningful legal practice under supervision while fostering a strong sense of social responsibility. The Legal Clinic Committee is composed of faculty coordinators (usually from the law faculty), practicing legal professionals and trained student volunteers. It functions in line with the guidelines of the Bar Council of India, the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and other legal education bodies. The committee also works in collaboration with District Legal Services Authorities (DLSA), NGOs and other legal aid organizations to conduct outreach programs and legal awareness drives.
