MootCourt Committee

Moot Court Committee

The Moot Court Committee is an essential academic body in any law college, dedicated to promoting legal research, argumentation and advocacy skills among students. Mooting is a simulated court proceeding where students prepare and present legal arguments before a panel of judges, mimicking real-life court practices. The Moot Court Committee provides law students with a practical platform to apply their theoretical knowledge, improve their legal reasoning and gain confidence in public speaking and courtroom etiquette. The committee also collaborates with law firms, bar associations, and legal institutions to organize judged rounds and panel discussions, thereby exposing students to the practical aspects of the legal profession. It also plays a role in organizing court visits, mock trials and client counseling sessions to further enrich the learning .
